Community Fundraising

St. Rocco’s Hospice relies on the local community for financial and practical support. Whether you are part of an organisation, church, club or an interested individual there is a part you can play in helping St. Rocco’s continue to care.

There are a number of ways you can help:

Organise your own event
Lymm 5K teamOne way is by organising an event to raise funds for St. Rocco’s. Events organised in the past include coffee mornings, store collections, dinner dances, fashion shows, open garden days, car boot sales, store collections, and even fire walks!

The Fundraising Team can offer support by giving advice and helping with publicity. The team also builds relationships with the local community by attending events, giving talks and organising cheque presentations.

Become part of a St. Rocco's Group
Easter raffleWe have a number of support groups who raise money throughout the year with a variety of events including quizzes, stalls, and auctions as well as helping to organise our annual collections around Warrington. We need to expand this support network and our team would be delighted to help you and a group of friends, family or work colleagues form a new support group and assist you with ideas for events. Could you have one of our collecting tins on your counter, desk or office? In 2007-2008, collecting tins and merchandise raised over £50,000 for St. Rocco’s Hospice. If you can help, please telephone Malcolm Kindon on 01925 575780 for more information.

Schools and Colleges
The support that St. Rocco’s Hospice receives from the local community is overwhelming and we would like to build on that by forming a long term partnership with your school or college. So, whether you are a teacher or a student, please read on, there are so many ways you can get involved

  • Education
Let us challenge your perception of what a hospice is by allowing us to visit your school during a lesson or assembly or come and visit St. Rocco’s and see for yourself what it's like.
  • Volunteering
If you are aged 16 or over, you might be able to become a volunteer at St. Rocco’s Hospice.
  • Fundraising
Beanies and noveltiesWe need to raise £7,200 every day to be able to provide care free of charge to our patients. So, why not do something fun and creative and get the satisfaction of knowing that you are making difference to patients and ? Many schools support our 'Go Yellow' day in June each year by organising dress down days and selling hospice merchandise to raise funds for St. Rocco’s.

For more information on any of the above or to arrange a school assembly, please contact the Fundraising Team on 01925 575780.
