Introduction

St. Rocco's Hospice provides loving care and support to patients living with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. The Hospice offers Day Hospice care, In-Patient care , Family Support and Spiritual support.

Nurse and relative with a volunteerA Hospice is not just a building, it is a philosophy with the emphasis placed on care, compassion, dignity and respect. Each person is treated as an individual and support is given to family members as well as the patient. All services are provided to patients and their families completely free of charge in a peaceful and understanding environment.

Care is offered to people of all faiths and to those with none. The team focuses on the needs of the patient and respects beliefs, religion and culture.

St. Rocco's Hospice is supported by volunteers who give their time in all areas of the Hospice including patient areas, driving, fundraising and shops.

St. Rocco's is not a long-stay unit with the average length of stay being 14 days.

In-Patient Unit

The Hospice has 10 In-Patient Unit beds; all the rooms are single, ensuite with TV/DVD and telephone.
 
Day Hospice

Day Hospice Services are available to any person who has a diagnosis of cancer or life threatening disease. We are able to provide support at any stage for those affected and also for their carers.
 
Family Support
Family Support
The team consists of Social workers, a Psychotherapist and a Bereavement Care Co-ordinator.
 
Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care
Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care
The multi-disciplinary team at St. Rocco's Hospice includes a small team of chaplains from the main Christian denominations in Warrington.
 
Palliative Care
Palliative Care
St. Rocco's Hospice delivers specialist Palliative Care to people with a life threatening illness.
