The team consists of Social workers, a Psychotherapist and a Bereavement Care Co-ordinator.

Advice, support and information can be provided on a range of issues that frequently arise when facing illness including:

  • Financial and welfare rights advice
  • Social work advice
  • Emotional and personal problems
  • Practical and social care needs
  • Psychological support for patients, carers, children and families

Counselling and psychotherapy enables people and families to talk confidentially about concerns. This can help people to adjust to living in new circumstances and relieve stress and anxiety. Individual, couple and family counselling is offered, including work with children and young people.

  • Telephone support
  • Individual bereavement support
  • Couple and family counselling
  • Support to children and young people
  • Monthly group support meetings
