Volunteering in a Hospice Shop

St. Rocco's Hospice has 7 shops staffed by 270 volunteers. Could you spare some time to help raise money for St. Rocco's?

What skills do I need?

You will enjoy meeting and talking to new people and have a friendly outgoing nature. Special skills are not required as you will receive on-the-job training. Any help with special interest items, such as antiques, is always much appreciated.

What would I have to do?

• sorting, steaming and displaying goods
• pricing
• window dressing
• working on the till
• helping customers
• help the team to keep the shop clean and tidy

How much time will it take up?

Volunteering need not interfere with other commitments. We ask for a regular commitment of one half-day session per week, although you can do more if you wish. The shops are open Monday-Saturday so we can usually provide hours to suit.
