Words not enough: care, understanding and love; thank you seems so little.

St. Rocco's Sunflowers
Celebrate the life of someone you love this summer with an everlasting St. Rocco’s sunflower.
We are inviting you to dedicate an everlasting sunflower to someone you love in return for a donation towards patient care at St. Rocco’s. The flowers will become a sea of yellow displayed in front of Warrington Town Hall between 27th May-11th June for everyone in Warrington to see and enjoy as they pass by.
You can dedicate a sunflower to anyone special to you - they don’t have to have been a patient at St. Rocco’s.
In return for your donation:
- Your everlasting sunflower will be placed in our ‘Sea of Sunflowers’ at Warrington Town Hall.
- You will receive a special, commemorative card bearing the name of the person to whom the sunflower is dedicated.
- Your sunflower will be available to collect afterwards as a lasting keepsake.
Your sunflower will be available for collection from St. Rocco’s Hospice Reception on the following dates:
Tuesday 13th June 4-7pm
Thursday 15th June 4.30pm-7.30pm
Saturday 17th June 10am-2pm

Margaret, one of our garden volunteers, shares her reasons for supporting St. Rocco’s Sunflowers this summer.
I love sunflowers and so did my daughter, Johanne.
When Johanne was ill we both benefitted enormously from visiting St. Rocco’s for complementary therapy sessions. It gave us both the time and space to come terms with things in a supportive environment where people understood what was happening. St. Rocco’s has lots to offer both patients and their families to help to get the most out of every day.
It’s now just over six years since we lost Johanne, but sunflowers still play such an important part in our lives – we grow them every year to remind us of her. In fact, I have only just sown my seeds for this summer.
That is why I’ll be dedicating an everlasting sunflower to Johanne as part of St. Rocco’s sunflower display in front of Warrington Town Hall later this year and I’m inviting you to join me.
By dedicating your St. Rocco’s sunflower you will be helping to ensure that others who find themselves in a similar situation to our family will be able to turn to St. Rocco’s for help when they need it most.
Why not dedicate a sunflower to a loved one or simply in recognition of the hundreds of people cared for at St. Rocco’s?
