The Hospice requires professional and enthusiastic Staff Nurses to work primarily in our In-Patient Unit. Flexibility is required across all clinical departments and working hours will vary between Monday to Sunday and will include, day, evening, night and weekend working.

A position has now become available for a physiotherapist to join the Hospice, to work as a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team providing treatments to patients with cancer and other life threatening conditions. The post is based primarily within the Hospice with occasional home visits as appropriate.

The Hospice requires a professional and enthusiastic Junior Sister / Junior Charge Nurse to work in our In-Patient Unit; shifts will vary and will include night working. Reporting to the Senior Sister/Clinical Ward Manager, and working with another Junior Sister, this role will assist them in aspects of management, leadership and co-ordination of the unit and its activities ensuring high standards of patient care are maintained in accordance with all St Rocco’s Hospice policies, procedures and guidelines.

The purpose of the role is to take a lead role in the planning, development and provision of the occupational therapy service for specialist palliative care, providing advice, support and care to the patients of St. Rocco’s Hospice.

To work flexibly as an effective team member in the Hospice at Home service providing support in the community for patients with life limiting illness and those requiring support, care and intervention at the end of life. You may also be required to work in other clinical areas within the hospice. This will provide opportunities to maintain and develop skills and knowledge for this role and to provide care, dependent on the demands of the service as a whole.
