As well as making everyone’s day by posing for pictures with them, he was able to see first-hand what our new service is all about. The Vitality Centre is part of a ‘Hospice Without Walls’ model, extending care further into the community and helping patients to get the most out of every day.

The special event was organised to say thank you to everyone in the community who supports St. Rocco’s and for people to find out a bit more about what a difference that support makes to patients and their families.

It was also an opportunity to find out more about the Vitality Centre and the services that it will be offering to those in the community living with a life-limiting illness to support them, as far as possible, to lead the life that they would wish for as long as possible.

There was a wide range of activities on offer including taster sessions from complementary therapists, craft activities for young and old, a range of stalls and refreshments. Starlight ladies were able to pick up their T-shirts in readiness for the walk on Saturday 24^th June. Visitors could also take a look at a bedroom which was set up to show the various costs of different pieces of equipment that is used at St. Rocco’s.
