On Monday night we were able to say thank you with our annual volunteer celebration and awards evening. Volunteers from all areas of hospice life, along with St. Rocco’s members of staff, were gathered together at the Orford Jubilee Hub. After being entertained by the Wire for Sound choir, Roger Preece, Chair of Trustees at St. Rocco’s, presented awards to those reaching volunteering milestones this year.

Special congratulations were in order for Jean Rutter, volunteer in our Stockton heath shop who was celebrating 25 years with St. Rocco’s and also for Pate Bate who has been volunteering on our inpatient unit for an amazing 35 years.

Roz Coleman, Voluntary Services Manager said: “We are very fortunate as an organisation to have this incredible group of loyal volunteers who continue to support St. Rocco’s over many years, thus ensuring that we can continue to offer the very best care that we can to their local community. We couldn’t do it without them.”
