In August, St Rocco’s received a huge £5,000 grant towards our core costs from The February Foundation.  This is the third time in 18 months that we have been fortunate enough to receive grant money from The February Foundation towards patient care in the hospice.

The February Foundation is an independent grant-making charity that supports a broad range of charities in the UK.  As part of their mission, they support charities that support people who are making an effort to improve their lives and charities which are for the benefit of persons no longer physically or mentally able to help themselves.  As part of the application process, we shared with them some of the wonderful work we do, including our inpatient unit and our counselling service; we also shared some ideas for projects we would like to run in the future.

In 2020, The February Foundation awarded us two grants totalling £11,500; part of this money helped us to open the four additional beds on the IPU during Covid-19.

We are so grateful for their support and will continue to update them with the great work that we do at St Rocco’s Hospice.
