St. Rocco’s Christmas Tree collection sets new record

On Saturday 8th January, teams of volunteers braved the atrocious weather to carry out the annual Christmas tree collection in Warrington, collecting over 2700 trees.

Residents could easily recycle their unwanted Christmas trees by making a donation to the Hospice. The trees were then disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.

Record breaking £44,000 raised

Charlotte Howard, events fundraiser for St Rocco’s Hospice, said: “We have been blown away by the generosity of people this year. It has helped us raise a record-breaking £44,000, which will pay for patient care at St Rocco's. We are so grateful to everybody who donated and to all our volunteers who were out in the awful weather from 6am on Saturday.”

A huge thank you

To the following companies and organisations who have supported the collection.
