On Sunday 3rd December, St Rocco’s Hospice will be opening their doors and welcoming everyone to join them this Christmas.
This year, the Light up a Life event will be a celebration of joy and love to remember family members and friends that are no longer with us.
“We know how important it is to remember your loved one this Christmas and we would like to welcome you to celebrate their life together with St Rocco’s Hospice. Each light on our tree will represent a cherished memory and will shine brightly amongst thousands of others.”
At 4pm, the Christmas tree lights will be switched on and you will have the chance to listen to carols within the beautifully lit hospice garden. There will be a children’s Christmas tree especially for young supporters with a Letters to Loved Ones post box. By dedicating a light, you will also be able to choose to have your loved one’s name written in a book of honour which can also be viewed on the day.
To help make this festive event a joyous occasion, there will be a family Christmas fayre from 2pm with a host of stalls including tombola, face painting, handmade crafts by St Rocco’s Craft Group, festive wreaths, cake stall and food and drink vendors.
For anyone who prefers the traditional Light up a Life event, there will also be a church service on Wednesday 6th December at 7pm at St Elphin’s Church, Warrington.
“By supporting us this Christmas, you are helping us to continue to care for the people in our community who need us. By lighting up a life together this year, we can be the light in more lives next year.”
