How do I pay in the money I have raised?

There are a number of ways you can do this:

  1. Pay through the ‘Donate’ button on the website. Put your amount in the ‘Other amount’ box and fill in the details, making sure you state what event the donation is from.
  2. Pay directly into our bank account, if this is their preferred option, please email the Supporter Care team requesting our bank details – supportercare@stroccos.org.uk
  3. Visit the Hospice in person with the donation, Mon-Fri 9.00-5.00pm.
  4. Post a cheque

Our postal address is:

How do I set up a JustGiving page?

An online fundraising page is a great way to tell people about what you're doing and setting up your own page couldn't be easier:

  1. Head to JustGiving and create your fundraising page.
  2. Personalise your page with photos, and add a message about why you’re fundraising for us
  3. Shout about it! Send your friends, family and colleagues a link to your page, post it on Facebook, tweet it and watch as the messages of support and sponsorship start to come in.

If you’ve got any questions on setting up your JustGiving page, email fundraising@stroccos.org.uk and we will be able to help.

How do I set up a Facebook Fundraising page?

  1. Go to Facebook Fundraising
  2. Click the ‘Select Charity’ and search for St. Rocco’s Hospice
  3. Fill in the details in the boxes on the left of the screen
  4. Click ‘Create’ and you’re all good to go

If you’ve got any questions on setting up your Facebook Fundraising page, email fundraising@stroccos.org.uk and we will be able to help.

Can you send someone to speak at my event?

Yes, we would be delighted to send someone who can explain what the Hospice does and how their contribution is vital in enabling us to carry on providing our care, free of charge, to the people of Warrington.

What is the best way to contact the fundraising team?

If you have an event idea in mind just fill in this form, or if you have a general question about fundraising for St. Rocco’s, then email fundraising@stroccos.org.uk

How will the money raised be used?

Currently, 75p of every pound we raise is used to provide front line care and support to our patients and families. We only get 20% of the £5m we need to run the Hospice from the NHS, the rest has to come from events like yours and other donations. Every penny counts.

What is Gift aid?

The Government operates a scheme called Gift Aid that allows charities to claim the basic rate tax on every pound donated. So, if you are a UK taxpayer and you donated £100 to St. Rocco’s Hospice, it means that we will actually receive £125 at no extra cost to you.
