Why did you decide to dance and support patient care at St. Rocco’s?

As a business we have always supported where we can, when the opportunity came along to support and dance in Strictly St Rocco’s I could not say No. Something I will be able to tick off my bucket list.

What is your previous dance experience and how are you feeling about dancing?

Over the last 10 years or so we have done social dancing intermittently, so I have some skills but time will tell if it’s good enough. I love dancing and cannot wait to start this journey.

What do you hope to achieve through the experience?

At 62 I hope to achieve success, what an amazing experience it’s going to be, dancing with a professional partner whilst raising money for a charity that is so important in my hometown.

Why did you decide to dance and support patient care at St. Rocco’s?

After seeing how well St Rocco’s looked after my mother in law and also how much help they gave the family too at what is the hardest time.

They were there for my family when my girls came to see their nanna and the help my wife received while she was helping to look after her mum.

She had a great time participating in the last one and it’s a great way to involve more people and raise some money at the same time.

What is your previous dance experience and how are you feeling about dancing?

No real dance experience to talk of really so a big leap into the unknown for me…

What do you hope to achieve through the experience?

I really want to feel like I can compete at a decent level and do my wife and mother in law proud… I would like to give just a little bit back to St Rocco’s for helping my family with what was the hardest part of my life to date and try to raise some much needed money in what has been a tough 18 months for everyone especially businesses and charity’s alike.

Why did you decide to dance and support patient care at St. Rocco’s?

Whilst working for St. Rocco's I have seen first-hand the amazing work the Hospice does. Not only caring for the patients, but the amazing support the staff give to the families at a very difficult time. I am very proud to work for such an amazing organization!!!

What is your previous dance experience and how are you feeling about dancing?

I have done some ballet and tap dancing as a child & some ballroom and Latin classes as an adult. I’m sooo excited to take part.

What do you hope to achieve through the experience?

I am a Strictly Super Fan and feel honoured to be involved in this year's Strictly. My aim is to raise as much money as possible for such a worthy cause!

Why did you decide to dance and support patient care at St. Rocco’s?

My friend Zac Clements has done it before and is now heavily involved with St Rocco's but it’s just a great event. As for St Rocco’s, owning a hair salon in Warrington I hear nothing but brilliant reports of their service so it's the least I can do to help.

What is your previous dance experience and how are you feeling about dancing?

I have zero dance experience, but I will give it 110%. I will be the best I can possibly be so hopefully I can surprise even myself and take to it. I'll be nervous on the night I'm sure but It's all good fun.

What do you hope to achieve through the experience?

I hope to raise plenty of money, encourage new people to donate and create awareness for St Rocco’s. And overall give all my mates a good laugh.

Why did you decide to dance and support patient care at St. Rocco’s?

It has been a long time since I have personally taken on a charity challenge, but with two left feet and no rhythm this was the biggest challenge I could have taken on. Being such a challenge, I am really hoping I can raise a lot of money for St Rocco’s patient care in doing so.

What is your previous dance experience and how are you feeling about dancing?

Very badly in the kitchen with my children is about as good as it gets…….

What do you hope to achieve through the experience?

I’d love to be able to dance – if only a little, I also want to achieve something for myself personally.

Why did you decide to dance and support patient care at St. Rocco’s?

I’ve been aware of and supported St Rocco’s for a few years, as they have a shop where I live, in Lymm. A couple of years ago I met Nicola and a couple of 2019 contestants via a networking event, where I agreed to dance at the next Strictly. It seemed so far away. Little did we know! Since then, I have struggled with Long covid and now have Photophobia (lights give me daily migraines) but the thought of this competition and helping those in far worse situations has kept me going through the tough times. I’m determined and very excited to take part, even if it means wearing sunglasses on the night! Our family has experienced first-hand, the importance of hospice care and I really hope to beat the sponsorship target, as well as getting fit in what will be my 50th year !!!

What is your previous dance experience and how are you feeling about dancing?

I am very passionate about dancing. I’m happiest dancing in tents at festivals. The thought of dancing in front of 400 and then it being shown on social media is absolutely terrifying.

I had dancing lessons as a child and more recently I’ve enjoyed belly dancing lessons. Nowadays I just dance along to whatever comes on the radio or You Tube. I prefer dance and Latin American music so fingers crossed…

Unfortunately, I’ve never danced with a partner. The only time I tried, at a salsa night, was a complete disaster, so good luck to the Cadmans’ Team!

What do you hope to achieve through the experience?

I hope to smash the target, dance and enjoy the night. Make my sponsors, family and partner proud.

Why did you decide to dance and support patient care at St. Rocco’s?

Well I had little choice! A good friend of mine, Zach, nominated me and he spoke so highly of the experience I thought well, why not?!

What is your previous dance experience and how are you feeling about dancing?

I have extensive experience of Dad dancing and am just hoping that my efforts with St Rocco's will redefine my daughters description of my dancing technique!

What do you hope to achieve through the experience?

Get a decent spray tan, wear a ridiculously camp outfit & see if they make dancing shoes in a size 13! On a serious note, it's a great cause and the stories from those who have been closer to the hospice have moved me, so raising awareness and money for such a great cause is the goal.
