What
For any keen knitter these chicks are relatively easy to make, and seem to be a very popular gift to buy over the Easter period. We love being inundated with little knitted friends in the run up to Easter. Thank you to everyone who gets involved either by knitting, donating crème eggs or buying a knitted chick, your contribution. Last year you raised over £2,000 towards patient care at St. Rocco's Hospice. Thank you so much!
Next year we'd love to raise even more, so spread the word and please pass on the pattern to fellow knitters who might like to get involved. The more chicks we have the more we can raise for our patients and families.
The hand-crafted chicks will then be sold in local businesses, as well as in our reception. If you would like to sell our knitted chicks in your business or work place please get in touch with our fundraising team on 01925 575780 or email fundraising@stroccos.org.uk
Not a knitter? Each chick needs to be filled with a chocolate crème egg before they can be sold, so why not get involved and support our Easter campaign by donating a box of crème eggs or two.
When
We ask that you knit your chicks in the run up to Easter and nearer the time we'll let you know dates when you can drop off your chicks at our hospice reception or post them to: Fundraising Department, St. Rocco's Hospice, Lockton Lane, Bewsey, Warrington WA5 0BW.
Why
We are a charity and rely on the local community for over 78% of our funding, so getting involved in our Knit-a-Chick appeal is a great way to support our patients!
