Terms and Conditions of Sunset Walk Event Participation

Please read the terms & conditions of participation carefully before submitting your entry.

Event Registration & Sponsorship

  • - Registration is £15 per adult or £12 per child (Under 15 and under).
  • - Registration must be completed no later than midnight on Thursday 8th September. You will not be permitted to sign up on the day.
  • - The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • - All sponsorship and fundraising raised as part of the event must be passed directly to St. Rocco’s Hospice.
  • - You can collect your t-shirt from the Hospice in advance of the event. Dates will be sent to you by email. Alternatively, you can arrange for your t-shirt to be posted. Please phone the Supporter Care team to pay for postage. The cost of this is 1 t-shirt (£3), 2 t-shirts (£4), 3 t-shirts (£5) and 4+ t-shirts (£6).


  • - All walkers aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over (also registered to take part in the event) and St. Rocco’s has the right to refuse entry to children aged 15 or under if these rules are not adhered to. The adult will be fully responsible for all registered children.
  • - One adult may accompany a maximum of 4 children (Aged 15 and under)
  • - It is a condition of entry that you must wear your Sunset Walk T-shirt on the night.
  • - The Sunset Walk is not a timed event.
  • - Dogs are allowed to accompany you on the walk, but must be kept on a lead at all times.
  • - Should your dog/s cause any damage to the grounds/third party property/injure third parties, St Rocco’s are not responsible, and it is down to the owner of the dog to deal with any issues.


  • - Participation in the Sunset Walk is at your own risk and no liability will be placed on the organisers for any injury, loss or damages whilst participating in the event.
  • - The terrain is a mixture of paths, grass and woodland. Please take extra care of potholes under foot.
  • - Please bring a hand or head torch with you as, although we anticipate you will finish the walk before it goes dark, this depends on the time it takes to complete.
  • - If necessary, please seek advice from your GP as to whether you are physically prepared to undertake the challenge.
  • - Prior to the event, each participant will receive a walker number. Please ensure you complete the information on the reverse and wear at the event.
  • - Due to the terrain, the route is not wheelchair or pushchair friendly.
  • - The event will be controlled by a number of volunteer marshals. For the safety of yourself and other participants, please abide by any instructions issued by marshals.


Photos will be taken at the event and may be published on the St. Rocco’s website. Social media channels, and wider media outlets. You must inform St. Rocco’s if you would not like your photo to be used.


St Rocco’s Hospice reserve the right to cancel this event at any time. In the event of this happening, all participants will be informed via email and updates posted on social media. Please contact St Rocco’s to request a refund of your registration fee.

St. Rocco’s Hospice is committed to protecting your privacy. The data we gather and hold is managed in accordance with the Data Protection Act (2018). We will not disclose or share personal information supplied by you, with any third party organisation without your consent.
