Spiritual Care

Spiritual care relates to those things in which we find meaning, hope, love and purpose.

Illness and a change in health can raise a lot of issues for you and those close to you. Spiritual care is about having someone to listen and help you to cope with whatever you may be going through.

Whatever is important for each individual person matters to us and we want to support the spiritual or religious practices and relationships that are a part of your life and we will assist you in any way we can to maintain these whilst you are under our care.

It is not just for religious people. Our Spiritual Care Team offers support to anyone who would find it helpful, whether they are patients, carers and/or family members.

We offer anything from a listening ear and a general chat to appropriate religious prayers. All in a non-judgemental and confidential environment.

We aim to provide a safe space to enable you to explore and express your feelings and concerns, or just to be still amidst all that may be happening to you or your loved one.

Whatever is important for each individual person matters to us and we want to support the spiritual or religious practices and relationships that are a part of your life and we will assist you in any way we can to maintain these whilst you are under our care.

Our Chaplain is available to speak with patients staying on our inpatient unit and for those attending our Vitality Centre.

We have a beautiful Chapel and you are welcome to visit it at any time to sit and pray, reflect or just enjoy the peacefulness it offers. We have a prayer tree where you can offer your own thoughts, prayers and concerns using the prayer cards provided.

We also have a prayer room available to people of all faiths which is equipped with the religious books and additional items required by the main religions in Warrington. It is located close to washing facilities for those who require them. We would ask that you remove your shoes before entering the room.
