What would I do without you?
There are lots of ways in which you can help to raise funds for St Rocco’s Hospice – and have fun at the same time!
We rely on the fabulous Warrington community to help raise the funds needed to run the hospice. There are many ways in which you can help, either on your own, or as part of a group.
Organise your own event
Organising an event is a great way to raise funds for the hospice. There might be a personal challenge that you’ve wanted to do for ages, or perhaps you’d prefer to organise a social event that benefits the hospice? The sky’s the limit (or, if you’d like to skydive, then the sky isn’t the limit!) – here are some ideas:
- a physical challenge
- a walk or race
- an evening ball or dinner
- car boot sales
- coffee mornings
- fancy dress party
- fashion shows
- open days
Almost any event can be turned into a fundraising event – and the ones which are the most fun are usually either a personal challenge or the kind of thing you enjoy anyway. We’re always happy to help publicise your event and to work with you to get the most out of the event.
Become a Rocco's Community Volunteer (RCV)
Our very important RCVs distribute our collecting tins in the shops, pubs and other businesses in their local area, with more and more of our newly branded tins standing proud on the counters and bars in locations across Warrington, bringing in much needed cash for our patient care.
If you are interested in finding out more about the role and how you can help, please call 01925 575780 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Bag packing - can you help?
Supermarket bag packing is a major source of income for Community Fundraising, and we have a regular diary of bag-packs scheduled in throughout the year. Helping out is great fun, and really makes a difference.
To find out when our next bag-pack is, and to get involved, please call 01925 575780 or email email@example.com.
Collecting tins and merchandise
A great – and easy – way to raise money for St Rocco’s Hospice is to simply have one of our collecting tins in your shop or office. Or, perhaps you’d like to sell some of our merchandise (such as beanies, key rings and small novelties)? Every penny helps – last year, these contributed over £50,000 to the hospice!
If you would like to request a collection tin, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01925 575780.
Telling people about the work we do is a great way to inspire others to help raise funds or get involved as a volunteer. We’re always happy to come along to any workplace and talk about what we do and how you can help.
Schools and colleges
We work closely with local schools across Warrington helping with:
- education – by dispelling the myths and preconceptions about what a hospice is and opening people’s eyes to the essential services we provide.
- volunteering – encouraging and enabling young people to be a part of what we do.
- raising funds – many schools and colleges take part in our creative fundraising days; it raises people’s social awareness and helps fund our services.
