Our Approach to Fundraising

St Rocco’s Hospice makes every effort to adhere to best practice, honesty, transparency, clarity and accountability in all fundraising activity, enabling you to give with confidence.

Our Approach to Fundraising

Our Income Generation team is tasked with raising over £2.5 million a year in voluntary income to enable us to provide our specialist care and support services for local people facing life-limiting illnesses.

We hold the donors and supporters who fund our work in the highest possible regard and are committed to fundraising best practice based on the core principles of honesty, transparency and accountability.

We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator and the Fundraising Promise outlines our commitment to donors and the public when fundraising for St. Rocco's Hospice.

Fundraising Communications

We contact our supporters by post, email and telephone to keep them updated with news from the hospice, how we spend their donations and forthcoming fundraising activities, events and appeals.

If you would like to opt out of receiving fundraising communications from St. Rocco's Hospice, please contact our Fundraising Department on 01925 575780 or email fundraising@stroccos.org.uk and let us know which ways, if any, you are happy to be contacted.

How we use your Data

We hold supporter data on a secure database. This includes information such as your name, address and telephone number, donations you have made and communications to and from you. It may also include your date of birth, the fundraising events or activities you are interested in and your personal contact preferences.

We have never and will never sell your data to anyone. We keep your data safe and only share it when we are required to by law or we are using other companies’ services - for example with the mailing house who send out our supporter newsletter or online giving platforms to ensure the information we hold is up to date. Any company whose services we use in this way are required to treat your data as carefully as we do and use it only in the course of the work they are doing for us. We always use secure encryption when your data is transferred to them.

Fundraising complaints

If you are unhappy with anything we’ve done whilst fundraising, you can contact us to make a complaint. Our complaints procedure is available here.

To make a complaint, please call Pam Massey, Chief Executive Officer on 01925 575780 or email us at fundraising@stroccos.org.uk
