On Saturday 13th September, St. Rocco’s Hospice will be hosting a brand-new event that will see the streets of Warrington ‘glow up’ to celebrate providing care and support to the community for 40 years.

The Neon Night Walk will start and finish in the concourse at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.  This high-energy event features a 5km route and, if you're feeling extra groovy, you can choose to do it twice!  Dig out your leg warmers, grab your glow sticks, and come dressed in your brightest 80s gear as we come together to light up our town.  There will be an 80's themed singer from 6.30pm with food and drink available to buy before and after the walk.  The walk will begin at 8.00pm and is open to everyone so let’s make it a night to remember – because 40 never looked so bright!

All walkers will receive a limited-edition Neon Night Walk t-shirt to wear on the night and will be presented with a special medal at the finish line.  There is also the opportunity to purchase neon accessories like flashing headwear or glow glasses during the sign-up process to make it even easier to be neon ready on the night!

The Events Team is also looking for lots of volunteers to support the event.  Volunteer roles include route marshals to direct and cheer on the walkers as well as volunteers based at the stadium to signpost people, help with registration, sell merchandise and give out medals when the walkers cross the finish line.  Under 18s are also eligible to volunteer with permission from a parent/guardian.
