Donating at a St. Rocco's Shop
Donations are accepted at all our shops at specified times.
Please ensure that all donations are bagged or boxed safely and handed to our volunteers. We kindly ask that if you are not able to make a donation on the specified day/time, please do not leave bags outside the shops as these pose a health and safety risk and we will not be able to accept them.
Our general shops accept donations of:
- Ladies & gents clothing
- Accessories
- Shoes
- Children's toys & clothing
- Bric-a-brac
- Books (but not at our general Lymm shop)
- Small electrical items
Please note, that due to the limited space we have in each shop, we may sometimes have to refuse donations, this will be at the shop manager's discretion. So, it will be best if you ring the shop beforehand to check that space is available to accept your donation. Thank you.
You can find the shop phone numbers here.
If you have unwanted items that you would like to donate to St Rocco's, then please consider selling them on ebay, and donating a percentage of the proceeds to St Rocco's. Please click here for more information.
Do you know that if you gift aid your donations to our shops it makes them worth an extra 25%?
Gift Aid allows charities to claim back tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer. That means that we can claim back 25p for every £1 that an item is worth when we sell it.
How does it work?
When you drop off goods, if you are a tax payer, please ask about signing up for gift aid.
There is a short form to fill in and you will be given a St. Rocco’s Gift Aid card with a unique number. After this, any time you donate items, please tell us your St. Rocco’s Gift Aid number and we’ll do the rest!
It couldn’t be simpler but it means that your donation will make an even bigger difference to our care.
Be sure to ask about Gift Aid when you drop off your donations to our shops.
Your unwanted settee could help us to provide a night sit from a member of our Hospice at Home team so that their loved ones can get some much needed rest.
Your previously read books could help to provide a breathlessness management course from our Occupational Therapist, improving the quality of life for someone with a life-limiting illness.
That no-longer worn winter coat could help us to be there when someone nearing the end of their life needs psychological support from our Counselling & Emotional Care team.
Thank you for your support.
