Inpatient Care

We’re here to support people in our community and their families from the moment they are diagnosed with an illness that is no longer curable.

"Thankyou so much for the loving care and devotion given to my daughter - you made us feel so welcome and made my daughters last week so peaceful."

We aim to be with them every step of the way, helping them to make every moment count and to stay as well as possible for as long as possible. Our specialist care extends to the very end of life.

Everyone is unique and we believe it is important to care for the individual's social, emotional and spiritual needs, as well as manage their physical symptoms.

Our services are tailored to each person's individual needs, to improve their quality of life and relieve the stress that serious illness brings. Our patients come from all backgrounds, all faiths and from the entire Warrington area. We never forget that each of our patients has a unique history and we always see the person, not their illness.

Who is Inpatient care for?

Patients come and stay with us for a variety of reasons. It might be that a patient comes to us so that we can assess them and help to bring complex symptoms under control. This process of ‘stabilising’ someone’s symptoms requires a great deal of specialist expertise which is exactly what we provide here at St. Rocco’s.

People are often very surprised indeed to discover that over half our patients go home following their stay here. Of course, we do also care for those reaching the end of their lives. Everyone who comes to us is treated as an individual. For us the way that someone’s life ends is as important as any other part of their life.

How do I get referred?

If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with a palliative illness, please phone the Warrington Integrated Pallative Care Hub on 0333 3661066 for advice and support.

We always see the person
