Making Every Moment Matter this Christmas

At St. Rocco's Hospice, we are privileged to continue to walk alongside local people through some of life's most challenging moments, providing free tailored care to patients and loved ones when they need us most. Time together at Christmas is precious, and for those with a life-limiting illness, every moment together becomes even more special with festive home-cooked meals and treats, handmade Christmas decorations, and visits from local primary school children singing Christmas carols, making special memories to cherish.

Did you know that in the last 12 months we have supported over 1500 patients and loved ones through our inpatient and outpatient care and bereavement services.

Whether it is providing expert care to a patient, supporting someone to be cared for in their home, a listening ear to ease worry or helping cope with grief and loss, our team of nurses, doctors, healthcare assistants, counsellors and volunteers will continue to provide compassionate wrap around care and support across Warrington this Christmas.

Julie's Story

When Neil’s cancer returned in 2024 and treatment options had been exhausted, he chose to spend his final days at St. Rocco’s Hospice. Neil and his family received outstanding care, compassion, and support, allowing them to spend precious time together in comfort and dignity.

“I will be eternally grateful for everything that St. Rocco’s Hospice has done."

The support extended beyond Neil’s care, with Julie, their children, and wider family welcomed and supported every step of the way, allowing them to spend precious time together when it mattered most. Today, Julie continues to honour Neil’s memory through fundraising and remembrance initiatives that help support others facing similar journeys.
