Grand Départ 2027

Wednesday 30th June 2027 to Friday 2nd July 2027

Experience the excitement of the Tour De France like never before

Be part of cycling history in 2027 as the Tour de France returns to the UK for the first time in over a decade with Discover Adventure.

Before the professionals set off from Edinburgh, you'll have the chance to ride the opening stage yourself on this fully supported fundraising challenge.

Experience the atmosphere of a Grand Départ, ride through spectacular scenery and take on the same roads as the world's best cyclists, all while raising vital funds for a cause you care about. With expert support from Discover Adventure throughout, you can focus on enjoying the ride and achieving something truly unforgettable.

Please note: minor route changes may be required due to safety, road closures and accessibility considerations.

What's included?

  • Two nights’ accommodation, Edinburgh area
  • Parking
  • Bike storage
  • Carb-loading pre-night dinner & briefing
  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks throughout the trip (unless specified on the itinerary)

What's excluded?

  • Bike and cycle helmet
  • Transport to/from event accommodation
  • Travel insurance; covering injury, cancellation/curtailment, lost items, etc (optional)
  • Any meals specified ‘not included’ on the itinerary
  • Personal items such as drinks, extra snacks, etc
  • Any applicable surcharges as per Terms and Conditions

Payment Options:

Fundraising Option 

  • Pay £149 to Discover Adventure as your registration fee today (this is non-refundable)
  • Then raise £1,200 for St. Rocco's Hospice 10 weeks before departure

Full Payment Option 

  • Pay £149 to Discover Adventure as your registration fee today (this is non-refundable)
  • Then £600 to Discover Adventure  8 weeks before departure
  • There is no set fundraising target with this option. We just ask that you raise what you can for St. Rocco's Hospice
