Thank you for looking after dad. It helped make his final days comfortable and peaceful – for him and for all around him. We are forever grateful.

Great Manchester Run

Sunday 20th May 2018

We have FREE places for anyone who wants to join us for this year's Great Manchester Run!

Once again, St. Rocco’s has places in both the 10k and the half marathon, and these places are free to anyone who would like to represent St. Rocco’s and help us to raise vital funds for our Hospice services.

All we ask for in return is that you raise as much sponsorship as you can to support our patients and families at St. Rocco's.

The Simply Health Great Manchester Run has become one of the biggest and most prestigious events of the sporting calendar.  Both the 10k and the half marathon distances take joggers, runner and walkers of all abilities through the buzzing streets of Manchester, as the event demonstrates the spirit, determination and togetherness of the city.

This year events will see the all-conquering Sir Mo Farah taking on the 10k distance, so you could be running amongst a sporting hero. Read more here

Manchester City Centre. Both routes will take you past some of the iconic sites of Manchester.

To help us to continue to care for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families in Warrington. We support patients at the hospice through our inpatient unit and Vitality Centre and in the community through our Hospice at Home service. We also look after patients' families through our Family Support service.

Our care is provided free of care to patients, but as a registered charity we rely on donations from our community and fundraising for over 75% of our funding to enable us to  deliver our care. So taking part in the Great Manchester Run and raising sponsorship is a great way to help us to continue to care for those in the Warrington area who need us.

Anything Else

Once you have completed the online form and registered your interest in one of our charity places, a member of the fundraising team will be in touch to organise your registration with the Great Manchester Run organisers.

Please read our terms & conditions here before registering your interest.

Following a successful allocation of your running place, you will receive a St. Rocco’s Fundraising Pack including an official St. Rocco’s running vest and various fundraising materials. The fundraising team will also be on hand leading up to the event to support you as much as necessary with your fundraising.

If you have any questions, or would like a paper copy of the registration form please contact Katie in our Fundraising team on 01925 575780 or email katielawson@stroccos.org.uk.
