Meet Sara, Staff Nurse

As a Staff Nurse on our inpatient unit I am responsible for providing daily, personalised care to our patients as part of the wider nursing team. Together we ensure our patients are comfortable during their stay with us, help manage any pain and control symptoms, provide information and be there to support them in their palliative journey. 

How long have you worked at St Rocco’s?

I worked at the Hospice for five and a half years.

What is your favourite food?

I love Italian food.

What is your favourite song/music?

I listen to anything I think sounds good; I don’t have a favourite genre in particular.  I currently like Rae.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself

I’m a twin!

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The team of nurses and the carers that I work with are amazing.  I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else.

What do you do to switch off from work?

My kids keep me busy when I’m not at work.  I like to spend time with family as much as possible.
