Maintenance Volunteer
The Role
- To assist with general day-to-day facilities needs
- To assist with undertaking scheduled checks of equipment and facilities
- To assist with routine checks of hospice vehicles
How much time will it take?
We are looking for volunteers to support us on weekdays from 9am to 4pm.
Am I right for the job?
For this role you'll need to be:
- Understanding of the hospice environment
- Warm, empathetic, and kind
- Respectful and understanding toward everyone
- Clear and kind in your communication with others
- Open-minded and positive when embracing change
- Able to build strong, supportive relationships with hospice staff and fellow volunteers
- A full UK driving Licence would be desirable
- Competent DIY skills would be desirable
- Experience in undertaking building maintenance
