Maintenance Volunteer

The Role

  • To assist with general day-to-day facilities needs
  • To assist with undertaking scheduled checks of equipment and facilities
  • To assist with routine checks of hospice vehicles

How much time will it take?

We are looking for volunteers to support us on weekdays from 9am to 4pm.

Am I right for the job?

For this role you'll need to be: 
  • Understanding of the hospice environment
  • Warm, empathetic, and kind
  • Respectful and understanding toward everyone
  • Clear and kind in your communication with others
  • Open-minded and positive when embracing change
  • Able to build strong, supportive relationships with hospice staff and fellow volunteers
  • A full UK driving Licence would be desirable
  • Competent DIY skills would be desirable
  • Experience in undertaking building maintenance
