A few words from a loving friend, Marjorie

My lovely friend Pat sadly passed away in the hospice in January, where she was lovingly cared for in the last few weeks of her life.
Pat was a very talented artist, crafter, knitter, and poet. Her talents were endless.
Pat was not just a member of our theatre company, she was a pillar of our community. Her dedication and talent were recognised in December when she was honoured for her 40 years of service to Centenary. Her loss is deeply felt, but her legacy will continue to inspire us.
Pat regarded Centenary as her second family. She appeared in many shows and plays using her beautiful singing voice and excelled as a character actress, particularly in plays. One of her memorable performances was as the Mother Abbess, using her voice to its full potential; she was perfect for the part.
Her valuable contribution to the company wasn’t restricted to the stage. Off stage, Pat used her skills as a member of the wardrobe team, turning her hand to anything and earning the title of chief titivator. She was also an asset to the props team.
Towards the end, Pat requested that her Centenary family sing at her life service celebration. Members were privileged to sing, You’ll Never Walk Alone to recognise Pat’s Liverpool roots. There’s no business like show business dedicated to her love of musical theatre, singing with such warmth and enthusiasm for their much-loved friend.

 A Poem Written by Pat

‘Keep hope right in your pocket

It will guide you day by day

Take it out when it is needed

when it’s near, you’ll find a way

The world is far from perfect there’s conflict and there’s strife but you can still make a difference by how you live your life’

Let's make this event unforgettable. As Pat would say, "All the world is a stage"
