Meet Louise Webb
Why did you decide to support St. Rocco’s?
My mum’s lifelong best friend spent her final days in St. Rocco's. My mum visited every day, and the Hospice generously allowed her to be there during those final weeks, providing a peaceful and comforting environment for them both. I know how much that time meant to my mum and her friend. Seeing the care and compassion shown by the Hospice, and the comfort it brought to my mum, has deeply inspired me to do what I can to support the hospice and give back to the Warrington community.
What is your previous dancing experience and how are you feeling about dancing?
I can’t wait to start learning the routine and I’m really excited to try a completely new style of dance. I don’t have much dance experience myself, but my daughter dances at local dance academy and competes in street dance competitions throughout the year. At the end of these events, there’s always a parent category—and I’m proud to be part of a fun group called Wingin’ It, formed by a local dance academy. It’s always a highlight of the competition day, with all the parents getting involved, having fun, and giving it their best shot!
What are you hoping the experience of dancing for St. Rocco’s is going to be like?
I’m hoping to have fun doing something completely out of my comfort zone. More than
anything, I want to inspire others to give things a go, no matter how unfamiliar they may seem. I’m doing this to make my family, friends, and of course, the hospice proud—and to help raise those much-needed funds for such an important cause.
