St Rocco’s are appealing for volunteers to help them at their annual Christmas Tree Collection event on Saturday 11th January.
The Hospice, based in Bewsey, is looking for businesses who can spare some time, a vehicle or a chipper so that the event can run smoothly. Individual volunteers are also wanted to help collect trees from homes across Warrington.
Can you help?
Can you or your business spare some time, a vehicle or even a chipper to help make this event a success? Please contact the Fundraising Team for more details by emailing fundraising@stroccos.org.uk or calling 01925 575780.
Bookings are also now open for those looking for an easy way to dispose of their Christmas tree after the festive period. In return for a donation towards patient care, your tree will be collected from your garden and recycled. This initiative covers Warrington postcodes (WA1 to WA5 and WA13). Booking is easy and can be done online at Tree Collection 2025 | St Roccos Hospice or by calling our Supporter Care team on 01925 579211. Please help us by donating what you can as every penny raised will go to the hospice to help pay for the services and care they deliver to patients and their loved ones.
A huge thank you to the following companies who have already pledged their support this year:
ADS Recycling Limited, B-Engineering Group, Beechwood Industries Ltd, Beesley & Fildes Ltd, Buzz Building Services, CEF, COLAS, Halliwell Jones & Mini, PSD Vehicle Rental, Quickline Couriers, Sandstone Supplies UK, SP Energy Networks, S Xpress Transport, Urban Garden Projects, Warrington Borough Council, and Warrington Electrical Supplies.
Last year, the team of volunteers collected 2,600 trees from across Warrington and raised an incredible £40,000. This money went straight to St Rocco’s so that they can continue to offer care free of charge to the people who need it. This year they are hoping to smash that record and they need your help. All you need to do is book a collection, pledge a donation, and then leave your tree in an accessible location on Friday 10th January. St Rocco’s will take care of the rest!
Charlotte, Senior Events Manager, said, “St Rocco’s Hospice is a local charity, and they rely on the generosity of the Warrington community for most of their funding. Right now, we are appealing for anyone that can support us at our Tree Collection event, so please get in touch if you think you can help.”
