Finance Volunteer

The Role

  • Assisting with data entry into spreadsheets or systems
  • Support with reconciliations such as petty cash and credit cards
  • Organise and file receipts, invoices and other financial documents
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team

How much time will it take?

Flexible dependant on availability, typically 3 hours per week, ideally either Monday, Tuesday or Friday.

Am I right for the job?

For this role you'll need to be:

  • Understanding of the hospice environment
  • Warm, empathetic, and kind
  • Respectful and understanding toward everyone
  • Clear and kind in your communication with others
  • Open-minded and positive when embracing change
  • Able to build strong, supportive relationships with hospice staff and fellow volunteers
  • Understanding of basic numeracy skills, attention to detail and confidence working with numbers and financial documents
  • Understanding of basic computer skills, including Excel and Outlook
  • Reliable, organised and willing to learn
  • Able to handle information confidentially
